Southern Image Quartet has announced the resignation of Tenor singer Tyler Hudson. Tyler has accepted a position with Men of Music. We wish Tyler the best in his new venture and know that God will continue to use him.
Southern Image is also very excited to announce that a new restructuring of the group is underway. Michi Guess will be filling the vacated spot. Many will remember and recognize Michi from her past days of singing Southern Gospel. She has had a great ministry with her husband Shay, who several years ago had the group “Faith” As many of you know, Shay joined Southern Image back in January. Until recently, Shay and Michi have served as Worship Leaders in a couple of churches, and are now returning to Southern Gospel.
Group spokesman Buddy Tennison stated, “We cannot begin to express how excited we are with this new addition. There are few talents out there as good as Michi. She has a tremendous voice, to go with a testimony that will definitely pull at your heart strings. I have had the honor over the years of singing with Michi, and she never fails to thrill me each time I have that opportunity. Michi has really always been a part of our ministry, although in the background as a vocal coach, advisor, and prayer warrior, and to finally have her as part of the front line is just awesome. Teamed up with husband Shay Guess, they contribute to form a sound that will blow you away. We are very excited about what God has in store for us.”
Southern Image is in the process of reviewing songs for a new project to include Shay and Michi, and hope to have that process completed by the start of the New Year.
We ask your continued prayer support for our group.

Burlington, NC - Noted singer, songwriter, author and talk show host, Janet Paschal has announced plans to launch a new, daily, two-minute program that will be made available to radio stations throughout the US and Canada. Five years ago, the news that the beloved singer had been diagnosed with breast cancer stunned the Christian music world. Following a year of treatments, Paschal resumed her touring schedule with renewed fervor and passion.
In November, 2008, the gifted writer released her latest literary work, Treasures of the Snow, which chroncles her triumphant battle with cancer. The book is now among the best seller’s list and has brought encouragement to many.
In an effort to provide even more cancer awareness, Paschal teamed with JOY FM’s network of radio stations in the Spring of 2009 to produce a weekly radio program. Walking The Good Road, which airs each Wednesday during the popular Morning Joy Ride, has become a huge success. “When I was journeying through the process of cancer,” Paschal shares, “I found comfort in communicating with others who had faced like challenges. I gleaned from their experiences, and, hopefully, they from mine. With the ever-increasing occurences of cancer among people with whom I worked and met daily, we began to brainstorm for a way to share a message of hope and faith to those who needed it most. In an effort to reach as many ladies and gentlemen as possible, we naturally gravitated toward radio - that wonderfully ubiquitous medium which has been exceedingly gracious to me for more than 30 years.”
On October 4, Paschal takes an even bolder step toward educating, informing and inspiring others with her story and the story of many who have walked through similar struggles, as she launches a daily, two-minute inspirational program for radio. “We will be sharing, daily two-minute segments of interviews with people who know, firsthand, what it means to have ‘cancer’ in their everyday conversation,” Paschal explains. “We will speak with Christian artists, pastors and housewives. We will interview caregivers, sons, daughters and parents of patients. We will meet oncology physicians, nurses, radiologists, exploring the entire gamut of the treatment process. Listeners will hear it first person, from those who are on the journey and who have graciously allowed us to walk alongside them for a short while.”
According to Paschal, five episodes of the daily format of Walking The Good Road will be offered to stations each week; however, those stations have the opportunity to air each episode as frequently as they like. “It is my hope,” Paschal shares, “through this program and the wonderful medium of radio, that we will be privileged to hold up the hands of those who are battling this disease. It is my hope that listeners will be encouraged, inspired and informed, and they will be victorious as they walk their own good road.”
While the concept was originally inspired by Paschal’s battle with cancer, individuals who have served as consultants for the program admit that the messages conveyed by Paschal and her guests offer encouragement and words of wisdom for individuals dealing with any type of struggle. This possibility thrills Paschal. “We all take different roads home. Each of us is heading for the same destination, but we face our own variety of twists and turns and narrow places, as well as a few stretches that are all downhill. My prayer is that each listener will be able to identify in some way with some of the curves and crosswalks during these conversations.”
Complete information regarding the brand new daily Walking The Good Road program may be obtained on-line at http://www.janetpaschal.com. Stations wishing to air the program may visit the site and click on the the Radio Broadcasters icon at the top of the home page.

(Sophomore Single, “Nothing Better To Do,” From The Album, Footsteps Of Life, Premiering At Christian Radio This Week!)
Nashville, TN (August 31, 2010) – A brand new single from energetic and talented quartet, Firm Foundation, with special guest, Donna Beauvais, arrived at radio early last week. The single, which is debuting on airwaves all across the country, is a follow up to their first release, “Already On My Knees,” from the album Footsteps Of Life.
Beauvais not only sang on the release (per the urging of the group ‘s lead singer, Steve Bridgmon), she also produced the album. She may be remembered for her years with, family trio, Hope’s Call. The group was known for soaring harmonies and dynamic vocal deliveries. She has been producing for 10 years and has had multiple award nominations for producer of the year, as well as, significant success with forwarding the careers of independent artists in Christian music.
Bridgmon expressed “When it came up almost two years ago that former Hope's Call, Donna Beauvais, was living, working, and producing in Nashville, TN, I knew immediately she was the person we needed to work with. She has a reputation of getting the most out of a group and I knew she was well respected in the industry and able to help us move forward as a ministry. Once the songs were decided upon and tracks were made, I approached Donna about the possibility of having someone join us on one of the songs as a duet. She had no idea that we actually had her in mind. We bounced a few Gospel and Country music names around to see what her reaction would be. Finally, we told her that we'd rather have her sing with us on the album than any other artist. I seriously think she was taken aback. You see, I'd been a huge fan of Hope's Call from a few years back and they (in my opinion) were the most vocally sound trio on the road at that time. Donna is absolutely brilliant in the studio and we are totally thrilled that she sang with us on this song,”
Kyle Dowden of KWFC in Springfield, MO said he is loving the new single. “I thought the Firm Foundation song was a catchy tune with a memorable hook. Oh, and Donna Beauvais sings like an angel on it.”
Beauvais shared, “I truly love working with Firm Foundation. I was pretty surprised when they asked me to join them on one of their songs, but I was also very honored. A friend and fellow co-writer, Ben Storie, wrote this song, ‘Nothing Better To Do,’ Ben writes for Daywind Publishing’s Christian Taylor division. I love this tune for its fresh outlook on the blessings of life, and its honest lyric, that expresses why God is deserving of all our praise. It made me smile from the first time I heard the demo. What a JOY to have had the privilege of singing it with Steve and the rest of the group!”

The Duffields had been perfecting this “worship” sound for nearly a decade before it became popular.
Currently, they are touring the country, both breathing new life into classic hymns and energizing audiences with original music. Looking to add new venues to their busy tour, they are excited to be working with Evie Hawkins of EHA. They state "We are busier than ever, sharing our faith filled songs of worship. We are proud to have EHA working with us!" Evie notes, "It's a tremendous honor to work with a couple I have been a fan of for so many years. From their days with the Sammy Hall Singers until now, Jeff and Sue continue to entertain and uplift. I am very excited to be connected even in the smallest way to their music ministry!"
Both Jeff and Sue are also adding individual ministry appearances to their schedules. In these instances, they will be appearing separately in order to testify of their own experiences as well as delight the crowd with uplifting song.
